Llandudno 10K, February 15th 2004

The one enduring memory of this race will surely be The Hill. No training run on the Cheshire plains and towpaths of Sandbach could ever have prepared us for the torture to come. The whole first half of the race was a climb up the "Great Orm" - an Everest to the uninitiated. The descent brought small comfort as we saw those few that we had struggled past on the incline sprint past us in graceful nonchalance.

The saving grace was the scrumptious and well-deserved fish and chips we celebrated with afterwards. In reference to the both the mugs that each finisher received and disappointment at our results, Jason B presented all club participants with a medal stating "Llandudno 2004 - We were mugged!". All in all a day to remember.
