Since its inception in May 2003, Sandbach’s very own running club has gone from strength to strength. It started as a small group of runners who though it better to run with other like-minded folks than to slog it out alone. At present, the club has a membership of over 50.

The club meets on Wednesdays at 6.30pm and Sundays at 9.00am at Elworth Cricket Club, where members can enjoy use of the changing facilities, showers and, on a Wednesday night, enjoy a post-run drink in the bar!

The club exists to encourage people of all abilities to get fit or fitter. It welcomes everyone from complete beginner to the marathon runner. The main aim, however, is to have fun, meet people and stay motivated. The club is affiliated to the UK AAA and has a qualified coach, Danny McLaughlin, who can offer advice to all.

We are now meeting on the last Friday of each month at various venues. If you have any suggestions of good Pubs/Restaurants that are worth a visit let Christine know verbally or by e-mail :  cj321@btinternet.com

Our next outing will be : To be arranged.

Can we please ask that you keep a note of what you have ordered, including drinks. We can then divide up the cost fairly at the end of the evening. Could we also ask, that if possible can you bring cash to pay your part of the bill.
