At Sandbach Striders we understand that deciding whether to join a running club can be a nerve-wracking business - Will I fit in? Will I be able to keep up? Many of us started out the same way, we got into running to lose weight, get fit and make new friends. We love running now and we want you to love it as much we do!
We aim to be a welcoming, inclusive and friendly group. Whoever you are and whatever your standard, you can be assured of a warm welcome with us.
Our members are a cosmopolitan bunch - we have a good mixture of young and old, male and female and have runners from all walks of life. Even a couple of dogs.
We encourage prospective members to come and run with us, there is absolutely no obligation to join for the first month - come and give us a try!
We normally run 5-6 miles (9-10km) on our training runs, but there are Striders who run less. If you aren't confident about getting round that distance do contact us, we'll be happy to organise a small group to run with you and we can even help with a training plan to help you achieve your goals. Come along on a Wednesday at 18:30. We meet at Sandbach Rugby Club.
