On Saturday 23 December I got up and decided to run the Congleton park run.
I met Tom and as we set off the rain was only just beginning. By the time we got there it was a light shower. However, as soon as the race was started the wind picked up and so did the rain. It was the first time I had done the Congleton park run so was not too sure what to expect. It’s definitely flatter than Hanley. There was a good turn out from the club and I was pleased with my run as I managed to lap the old lady with the dog. Unfortunately there was no time to hang around for a coffee as we were all soaked through, maybe next time. This is a park run that could help me get a 5K pb eventually, I just need to put in more effort (after Xmas)!
