In aid of Cancer Research UK South Cheshire Harriers were hosting an informal 6 miles or 15 miles known as the Striding Sandstone.

This was a fabulous off-road course that started and finished at the Candle workshop near Burwardsley with many, many, many climbs, lots of mud, no stiles but lots of gates.There were beautiful views of Beeston and Peckforton castles and across the Cheshire plane. I arrived at 9am to snow, hail, sleet and rain and finished in beautiful spring sunshine. I REALLY would recommend this course next year if you get bored of roads and need a bit more excitement.

Thanks a million to Dave and his team at South Cheshire Harriers for organising a great event and providing amazing cake afterwards. Who knows, I may even give the 15 miler a go next year :)
