Sandbach Striders



At the free weekly 5k parkrun at Congleton, seven Striders ran the three laps around Astbury Mere. Lindsay Beeston showed his consistency by matching his personal best time to the very second. Tony Taylor continued his return from injury with an impressive 7th place.

At the parkrun at Delamere Forest, Perry Wyatt recorded a time of 27:40.

Meanwhile in Oxfordshire, Michael Escolme ran his 29thdifferent parkrun course at Oxford and recorded a time of 35:31

On Saturday, Paul Nicholls was lining up at the Bolton Hill Marathon. This popular race was run for the first time in 2013 and now forms part of a two in two days challenge. The route takes in Rivington Pike and Winter Hill. Wisely Paul opted to run only the 26.2 miles on Saturday, staying to help marshall the race on Sunday and cheer the runners on. Paul recorded a time of 5:44:34.

On Sunday, the popular Stafford 20 was run. This 20 mile three lap route around the county town of Staffordshire. Five Striders ran, recording the following results:
