Sandbach Striders had another excellent turnout at the free weekly 5k Congleton parkrun with 16 Striders finishing the three laps of the mere. Female Striders led the way once more with Heather Carter, Clare Pheasey and Lou Hayward all managing to run new personal best times. Oscar Hayward and Tom Stanning ran their first ever parkruns having been dragged there by Mum Lou and Dad Grant respectively.

Meanwhile at Arrow Valley parkrun near Redditch, Michael Escolme finished the two lap course around the Arrow Valley park lake and nature reserve in 33:06

Mat Simister also ran 5k on Saturday at the Run Marbury 5k at Marbury Park near Northwich. Mat finished in 6th position completing the course in 24:07

Tracey Hale completed the array of 5k runs by finishing the Delamere parkrun in 32:41
Also in action on Saturday was Paul Nicholls who ran the 31 mile Princess Challenge, a circular off-road route including Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, and Ravenscar in North Yorkshire. Paul completed the tough event in 6 hours 39 minutes.

Sunday saw the turn of the Run Marbury 10k also in Marbury Park. Six Striders took part including Lindsay Beech and Amy Norman who ran their first 10k races. The full results were as follows:
