Sunday also saw the annual Treasure Hunt organised by the club’s welfare and coaching officer Jason Bulley. Five teams of Striders ran around 10 miles attempting to find the answers to as many clues as possible in a 2 and a half hour time limit. As well as trying to find the clues which ranged in difficulty, each team was given the task of carrying a large inflatable, its points value increasing in proportion with its size! The winning team of Philip Truman, Francis Gilchrist, Andrew Gibson and Martin Gunther won by carrying a 5 feet high cactus.
