Entries are now open for the Sandbach 10k 2022 sponsored by Butcher & Barlow. 2021 was an interesting event, taking place under some Covid 19 restrictions, we're hoping to be able to put on a full event with family fun day again
Back again for 2022. Last year we moved the race to a new race HQ at the Sandbach Rugby club, and a new course heading out towards Bradwall. The event has consistently been a great success, and we think 2022 will be no different. The 10k race will be held on Sunday 21st August and starts at 10:30. The Under 16s 2K event will start at 9:30.
We will be making some small modifications to the course that was used last year, which will mean not so many fields at the end of the event.
We are also bringing back the family fun day, with attractions such as BBQ, bouncy castles, etc
We have sold out both events the last 3 years, so book now to avoid disappointment
The 10k features:
- STARTS AT 10:30 this year
- Mainly roads, with some Rugby fields (Course) with full road closures
- UKA License Number (UKA License Applied for)
- Chip-timed
- Bespoke Medal
- On-line results
- Prizes to 1st three males & females*
- Individual prizes in veterans categories (V40, V50, and V60)*
- Prizes to 1st Sandbach resident (male & female)*

Sandbach 2k Under 16s Race
- 2K Race for Under 16s (UKA License Applied for)
- Starts at 9:30
- An out and back course on the 10k route with full road closures and fully marshalled
- Chip timed
- Online entries only - Entry cost £5
- 100 places only
- Race numbers and pins to be provided on the day (have to be collected before 9:40)
- Children under 8 on the day must be accompanied by an adult
- Prizes for the first 3 runners as well as each age group. Note that it is a maximum of 1 prize per runner. Age group categories are under 5s, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15
All profits from the day as well as cake stalls, and other family activities will go to our club fund raiser (to be announced soon).
In 2021 we raised a in excess of £2,000 for our club charity "The Patryk Milner Foundation", so we are hoping to achieve similar in 2022

On Sunday 8th September 2019, the Sandbach 10k and Under 16s 2k took place from Bradwall Village Hall
All 500 places were sold out for the 10k, and 100 for the 2k, with 430 and 82 finishers respectively.
