Wendy Barnes found herself in Barbados at the same time that a 7 km race from Speighstown to Holetown was held. The run was great fun, running roadside, well supported by a police escort at the front and rear of the race and cheering from the Reggae buses as they went by. It was very hot, around 30 degrees C but worth the effort for the great reception at the finish. Wendy finished as 9th lady overall.
