A resounding success!
With the COVID restrictions of 2021 behind us, it was a chance to fully embrace the rugby club as the home of the Sandbach 10k. With another sell out weeks in advance for the 10k, and of course the help from the members of Sandbac...
The weather couldn’t make its mind up about what it was going to do before the race as we moved from sunglasses to umbrellas back to sunglasses and then umbrellas again but by 09:30 it had settled on calm and cloudy for both races making it near to perfect conditions.

Today it was 'Wilmslow Half Marathon' day a very popular race on the half marathon calendar. It's long been established as one of the main half marathons in the northwest attracting a huge field in excess of 4000 runners, a mixture of club runners and social runners wanting to take on the challenge.

An early alarm wake up call (5.30am) meant it was Anglesey Half Marathon day. Sometimes I wonder why we put ourselves through it, and this was how I was definitely feeling at this unsociable hour in the morning. A hot shower and mug of tea soon lifted my spirits.
